Gelion has followed up on the existing partnership with the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces with an exclusive commercial licence for the intellectual property covering the key sulfur cathode technology with which it can deliver truly disruptive battery solutions. This will allow Gelion to benefit from the commercialisation of the technology which can deliver the benefits of high-performance lithium ion batteries but which can be produced in the West more cheaply than China today, levelling the playing field in this strategically important area.
